Palworld: Creature survival, base building & co-op

Rent a Palworld server

Palworld is one of the most memory-hungry games in our catalogue and one of the few where almost every rule can be changed server-side. We planned for both.

What you can configure yourself

98 fields for Palworld in the control panel: experience and gathering rates, Pal behaviour, base and guild limits, PvP, day/night length, server name and password. That is the entire `PalWorldSettings.ini`, translated: you never open the file, and you cannot break its tuple syntax.

Why Palworld needs so much RAM

Palworld keeps every captured creature, every base and every built structure of the whole world in memory, not just what someone is currently looking at. Usage therefore grows with play time, not with player count. A server that ran smoothly on the first evening can struggle three weeks later because four players now run four fully built bases.

That is why Palworld doesn't start at the small sizes here but noticeably higher. If you plan to stay on one world for a while, book one tier above what would be enough on day one.

Settings without a file editor

The `PalWorldSettings.ini` is notorious: every option sits in a single comma-separated line, and one missing comma invalidates the whole file. The server then silently starts on defaults. That is precisely why every field sits individually in our panel and is written back correctly on save.

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring my Palworld save?

Yes, upload the world folder via file manager or SFTP. Make sure the server is stopped first, otherwise it overwrites your upload on shutdown.

How do I change experience and gathering rates?

In the panel under the Palworld settings. Multipliers for experience, gathering, egg hatching and Pal behaviour are individual fields, no file editing.

Is the server available immediately?

Typically in under five minutes, fully automatic. Palworld downloads its game files on first start, which takes a few minutes longer than for smaller games.

How do I connect to the server?

On the title screen choose “Join Multiplayer Game” and enter address and port from the control panel at the bottom. If you set a server password, the game asks for it.

How many players fit on it?

You set the cap in the control panel (field “Max players”). Palworld's memory use grows with bases and caught Pals, not with player count. Plan by playtime rather than by heads.

What happens when Palworld updates?

The server checks for a new version via SteamCMD on every start and downloads it. After an update, a restart in the control panel is all it takes.

How do I back up my save?

In the “Backups” tab you keep up to 7 backups. On top, the server makes one automatically every night; the last 7 are kept, and one you mark with “Lock” is never deleted. Take one by hand before big settings changes.

Do I have to cancel when I want to stop?

No. Billing is monthly in advance: if you don't pay the next invoice, the contract ends with the paid period. You can cancel at any time via “Cancel contract” in the client area, effective at the end of the paid period. After that the server is suspended and deleted three days later, backups included. Download your world from the “Backups” tab first.
