How billing works. Billed monthly, in advance. The contract runs for the chosen term and then ends automatically, no cancellation needed. The next invoice arrives automatically before it's due. Pay it and the server just keeps running; don't pay, and you're letting it lapse (Terms § 9.1 / § 8.5). We never pull money from your account: you pay every invoice yourself. Longer billing periods with a discount are in the works.

Web hosting the classic kind

For sites that do not need their own server: you upload, we take care of the OS, the web server and the updates. You pick the PHP version per site, from 8.2 to 8.5. Older releases no longer receive security updates, so we do not run them. SSL is included at no cost.

These are the limits that actually apply: storage as a hard quota, websites and databases as counted limits, plus CPU and RAM per customer: neighbours cannot take your performance away. No “unlimited” with a fair-use trap. You upload over SFTP; we deliberately do not offer FTP, it sends your password in the clear. Frankfurt location, mirrored SSD storage. Prices are final prices per § 19 UStG. Billed monthly, in advance. Bring your own domain: set an A record at your registrar pointing to us; we do not run a DNS service. There is no e-mail here: no mailboxes, no sending; that is a decision, not a building site. If your site sends mail (contact form, password reset), you plug in your own SMTP provider. We would rather write that down than let you find out.

How ordering works

Four steps, all in the client portal. No phone call, no paper contract.

1 · Pick a plan
“Order” takes you straight to the cart in the client portal. You see the plan and price once more there before anything is paid.
2 · Create an account
New here? Create an account, otherwise sign in with your existing one. All services and invoices then sit in one place.
3 · Pay the invoice
You pay the first invoice right in the portal. We never debit your account. You release every later invoice yourself too.
4 · Get going
Once payment arrives, the system sets everything up automatically. Your access details are in the client area afterwards; you control the VPS in the VPS panel.

VPS questions

What matters before you order, with the limits in the same sentence.

Do I get full root access?
Yes. You choose the operating system, software and services. Only the law and the acceptable use policy set limits.
VPS, virtual server, root server: what is the difference?
Usually none. All three names mean a virtual machine with its own operating system and full root access; ours each run under KVM, with their own kernel. Some providers reserve “root server” for plans with dedicated cores. On our VPS the customers of a machine share the CPU; the memory is guaranteed.
Where is the VPS, on what hardware?
The Xeon line is in Frankfurt am Main, on Intel Xeon Gold with mirrored SSD storage and DDoS protection. The machine is connected at 2× 10 Gbit/s; we advertise “up to 10 Gbit/s” because all customers on the machine share the line. The Ryzen line is in Nuremberg, on AMD Ryzen 9 with SSD storage; up to 1 Gbit/s there, shared as well.
What happens when my traffic runs out?
The server keeps running. The plan's traffic is included in the price; every further started terabyte costs €1.09.
Can I open ports myself?
Yes. The VPS panel has a rule list per machine under “Firewall”, for incoming traffic. A new rule applies within about ten seconds at most. Outgoing traffic you manage on the server yourself.
Fixed plan or configurator?
For the same specs the fixed plan is slightly cheaper. The configurator is worth it when no tier fits, lots of memory with few cores, for example.
Do I have to cancel when I want to stop?
No. Billing is monthly in advance: if you don't pay the next invoice, the contract ends with the paid period. You can cancel at any time via “Cancel contract” in the client area, effective at the end of the paid period. After that the service is suspended and deleted three days later, backups included. Download anything you want to keep first.
